There has to be a reason for all of this…

I know I cannot answer this question fully for each individual but I can help point you towards finding the answer. I also pray that you, as a Follower of Christ, would want to know why you are here. God has some great words for each of us to consider on this matter.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance,
for us to do. Eph. 2:10

A few things can be stated clearly to help you take some answers off any list you might make.

You are not here to:
– Find temporal fulfllment
– To simply survive
– Be defeated
– To be confused
– To lose the battle

You are here to:
– Fulfill a purpose which can only be fulfilled though Christ
– To make a difference
– To glorify Christ
– To demonstrate through our lives that Jesus is worth following
– To discover God’s purpose for us and go for it

To accomplish God’s purpose(s) for our lives, we must discover what they are. Please note that God has a purpose which is personal to you. In other words, God does not want you to be me… He wants you to be you with Him living inand through you. To make this happen, we need to make sure our priorities are in order, If we do not, the busyness of life can overtake the priorities we need to be following and the battle to fulfill God’s plan for our lives becomes that much more difficlult.

One of the purposes for our Friday School and Smalll Groups is to help each believer discover and fulfill their God given purpose(s).

Living your life on the journey to discover His purpose for you is when God chips away those things that hinder. Take the next 10 minutes and watch the video below. Before you watch it, ask God to speak personally to you about you and not about others.

For we are God’s workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus to do good works,
which God prepared in advance,
for us to do. Eph. 2:10

The excitment is building as I count the days before I travel and get to see my wife, kids and grankids. I am blessed to have a church which encourages me and Pam time (and yes Hazel, I am so Pamelaless that I am having difficulty thinking straight). Yet, with all those blessings, I hate to be away from the place God has called me to and the people I serve. The people of EBCI are my family.
The message Friday will come from Proverbs 3:5-7. A familiar passage but one God has shown me this week to share with you on living victoriously.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
Proverbs 3:5-7

I know what my God purpose is and all of my life (good and bad) has molded me to be where I am today. Everything prior to EBCI was designed by our God to prepare me for EBCI. Thank you all for being an important part of my life.

Dear members and adherents of Emirates Baptist Church International (EBCI)
In view of the escalating situation around COVID-19 and directives of the local regulatory authorities, we have cancelled all gatherings and worship services of EBCI for the next 4 weeks. At this time, our primary concern is to ensure the health and safety of the members of our congregation.
This will impact all of us in many ways and we are trusting our Lord to carry us through this time and seeking to be faithful in our witness.
